It’s a brand new year for motherhood!  Start it right with these simple but fun activities for kids that are perfect for baby playtime and family bonding.

1.  Go out and Play
Working moms rarely find extra time to go outdoors and play with their babies.  Weekends are usually spent at home playing with stuffed toys or building blocks but once in a while plan outdoor activities for the kids like strolling at the park or at the mall.  Not only will your baby love the change of scenery and the feel of a new experience, the body exercise will also benefit your baby’s health.

2.  Have a Picnic
If the weather permits, have a picnic with your baby at the local park.  Pack your baby’s favorite finger food, milk, and her toys.  Your baby will enjoy the meals all the more without the obligatory high chair.

3.  Explore New Things Together
It’s true:  the best teacher is experience.  Take your baby to the nearby museum or park and explore new things together.  Point out new things like butterflies and trees and talk about their different colors and textures.  Parents should continuously create new baby activities that will improve both physical and emotional well-beings.

4.  Listen to Music
Do you know that listening to classical music enhances the brain?  That’s why it’s one of the most popular baby activities prescribed most pediatricians.  But once in a while, give the nursery rhymes a rest and enjoy Mozart and Chopin with your newborn baby.  Another fun kids’ activity is to line up some pots and pans and make music together.  Little do you know, you newborn baby can be the next child prodigy.

5. Take up Baby Yoga
Your baby gets more and more active every day. Baby Yoga is a set of simple aerobic exercises for baby infants to help them develop balance and coordination.  The muscle and posture exercises also do wonders on growth and body development. More so, Baby Yoga is a baby activity for body exercise and emotional attachment.  Help your baby expand his world through Baby Yoga. Helpful tip: Make sure his diaper is yoga-friendly.
