Prankster Puts Up Sale Ad For Yahoo On Craigslist

So this happened. Some prankster placed an ad sale for Yahoo on Craigslist. The asking price? $8 Billion or B/O (or best offer).
The hilarious (at least for us) fake ad popped up on Craigslist on Thursday. While obviously fake, the sale ad was so spot on it may not be as funny for some people who are actually involved.
The prankster did his or her research. The $8 billion or B/O estimated figure has been circulating as the highest open market price the company can rake in.
The prankster also knew how to put salt in the wound. The sale ad read that this "one-of-a-kind internet original" has been made available to the public "for a limited time." The prankster is either referring to the sale ad's limited time offering or that the days of the Internet original are already numbered.
Here's the kicker, the Yahoo sale ad was listed under the Craigslist's antique section. The prankster also listed the sale item's condition as "salvage." It's almost as sarcastic as it is funny. Yikes! Pass the salt please.
"A beautiful piece in good-to-fair condition, showing some signs of wear but easily restored in the hands of the right person. Sadly, the original owners can no longer maintain it," the prankster wrote on the Craigslist ad.
But wait, there's more. The prankster listed some neat items that comes with the sale:
* 1 billion users, more or less
* Web email system (now 62 percent spam free!)
* Bottomless archive of Kim Kardashian photos
* Flickr & Tumblr
* Fully equipped Nautilus gym
* A really nice cafeteria
* The Yahoo Weather app
* Several warehouses filled with Kind bars
* Katie Couric
Oh well, the prankster was considerate enough to add photos that accompany the fake listing. These include a photo of Yahoo's First Avenue headquarters, a screenshot of the Yahoo homepage, an events photo of Marissa Mayer, a box of KIND bars and a marketing photo of Yahoo New's Katie Couric looking chic.
